Midday Unusual Options Activity Update: MWW, SLE, LTD, FNSR, KR, WSM

Implied volatility in the options Monster Worldwide (MWW) is making a move higher Thursday. The stock is rallying $1.12 to $8.06 on heavy volume of 16.5 million shares after the companyís CEO reportedly said the job company is exploring strategic alternatives. Options volume surged as well. 30,000 calls and 3,700 puts traded on the stock so far, which is 30X the daily average. March 7 and 8 calls are the most actives and levels of implied volatility in MWW options skyrocketed more than 90 percent to 71.

Sara Lee (SLE) options volume is running 9.5X the (22-day) average, with 43,000 contracts traded and call activity accounting for 64 percent of the volume.
The Limited (LTD) options volume is 7.5X the daily average, with 25,000 contracts traded and call volume representing 50 percent of the activity.
Finisar (FNSR) options volume is running 5X the average daily, with 23,000 contracts traded and call volume representing 53 percent of the total volume.
Increasing options activity is also being seen in Monster Worldwide (MWW), Kroger (KR), and Williams Sonoma (WSM).
